• Autism strategy priorities - survey to complete

  The South East Learning Disability and Autism team have asked for comments on their priorities for an all-age autism strategy.
  
  They have a survey and are particularly hoping to hear from autistic people and their families living in the SE. I would be grateful if you can share with your networks.

• Support for Young Carers

  New support for young carers

  Care for the Carers are launching a new Young Carers Together service for young carers from 5-17. There is also a Young Adult Carers (YAC) service for 18—25 years.

  Support will include:

  • Holiday activities
  • Information and signposting
  • Supporting young carers to access services and activities
  • Young Carers Club for those aged 8 and upwards *Starting April 2021*
  • ‘Teen Talk’ Counselling for those aged 12 years and above

• ISEND Education Psychology Helpline for Parents

  The helpline is available for parents/carers of children with SEND to talk with Education Psychologists (EPs) about various areas of concern, including setting routines, positive behaviour, wellbeing and more.  Please call 01273 481967, please leave your name and number and a brief description of the kind of support you need and someone will call you back.
