Welcome to Secondary
SCHOOL TIMES - 8.50am - 3.00pm
Our Secondary phase is co-located on Beacon Academy site, Beeches Road, but offers a separate unit within. We currently have 6 classrooms, an interactive sensory room, hall, and small garden. We hold our own PE lessons with our qualified PE Teacher with scheduled access to Beacon PE facilities such as Gym, Sports Hall, Astro Turf and Fitness Suite. Some of our pupils access Trampoline sessions in the Community together with a weekly Taekwondo session at a purpose built gym in Crowborough. We have weekly swimming sessions at Goldsmith's Leisure Centre, and for pupils that need Hydropool provision, this is located on site. We also have use of Beacon Canteen and playground for lunch times, but again this is at a separate time to the Beacon students. We use a dedicated Food Tech room located at our Green Lane site for our Food Technology lessons.
If appropriate, students can access curriculum lessons within Beacon such as Maths, Science, PE, Dance and History. Pupils are always supported by one of our TA's.
We offer a friendly, caring and supportive KS3 provision to create the best learning environment for our pupils.
Olympia Boxing chose Grove Park as "School of the month"
Pupils from both Beeches and Green Lane sites have been participating in boxing sessions every Tuesday morning.
As we were chosen as "School of the month" a few weeks ago a camera crew came in to see the pupils in action!

On the bottom deck the bus was transformed into a life-like 1940s Living Room which featured a wireless and a range of original gas masks. At the back of the bus the students found a Grocery Shop and could see first hand the amount expected for Ration portions. While enjoying this experience the students moved onto making Anderson Shelters and Gas Mask boxes throughout the day.
