Our whole school approach to safeguarding is based upon an understanding of the local context and an attitude of 'it could happen here'.

We aim to:

• To create a secure environment within which the pupils/students will develop a sense of self-esteem and feel confident to advocate for themselves.
• To build a working partnership with parents/carers which will inspire confidence and promote mutual support and consistency between home and school.
• To co-operate positively with other professionals and specialist services in order for the needs of the whole child to be addressed.
• To encourage two way interaction between school and the local community to promote inclusive opportunities for, and attitudes towards, our pupils/students.
