The Schools last OFSTED Inspection was in June 2008, which it received a judgement of satisfactory with good features.  The school is purpose built, and set in beautiful grounds on the outskirts of Crowborough.  It has a wide catchment area encompassing all the north and western area of East Sussex including Newhaven, Lewes and up to the West Sussex and Kent borders.  The Secondary and 6th Form Departments are co-located on the Beacon Community College site, which will allow more appropriate opportunities for inclusion and access to their specialist facilities.  As a result the school will increase in size over the next few years.

Grove Park is a 80 place County maintained Special School for children from 3-19 who have complex learning difficulties and autism, which includes moderate, complex, severe, profound or multiple issues.  Some of these pupils may also have additional physical and/or sensory impairment.

We assess the pupils needs and work forward to provide them with every opportunity to access a broad and balanced curriculum, modified to meet their own unique needs.  Each child/student has an individual education plan, and work through the year, across the subject areas, is targeted to promote independence and give them a programme through which they can achieve and learn.  All the staff are well trained and experienced in meeting such a range of need, and the school benefits from the regular support of Speech & Language, Physio and Music Therapists together with our School Nurse.
